Hey, I'm Ana
I work as a project manager. I'm a parent and an expat living in Lisbon, Portugal.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to Portugal wasn't in the long-term plan. Like many expat relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar processes, new routines, fresh expectations. Daily chores seemed more complex than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of learning on the fly. Yet gradually, routines took shape. We found spots that suited us, connected with other families, and began constructing something that felt steady.
Why I Built BraSolNivarPum
Most online resources were either corporate relocation guidance or superficial tourism content. What was missing was a candid, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice grounded in real life in Portugal.
What This Site Is About (And Isn't)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from life in Portugal
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site isn't:
- A tourism-authority resource
- A platform for sponsored reviews
- A generic travel blog
Looking Forward
Our stay in Portugal continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll keep recording what we uncover.
If you have questions about family life in Lisbon or anywhere in Portugal, don’t hesitate to contact me.
Cheers,
Ana
